Jr. 4-H'er or Mentor Program?

Let's clarify the difference between Jr. 4-H'er and the Mentor Program.

Jr. 4-H  Program: Only Dairy and Small Animals offer this  showing option.  This was developed for  7 year old exhibitors only.  They bring their OWN animals to exhibit for the week and show.  They participate in Showmanship and a regular class.  They do not receive premiums and can NOT sell through the auction. They do not participate in any Mentoring Show during the week.  This is a prepared event.

Mentor Program: This is a fun introduction to showing livestock.  The youth can borrow an animal already on the grounds and show only in showmanship.  The animal's owner joins the youth (ages 6-7) in the ring.  This event is offered  by the Dairy, Sheep, Goat and Swine departments only.  This is NOT a class offered through the fair.  Youth sign up the day of the show.  This is an introductory event.
