Upcoming Educational Rabbit & Poultry Workshop Dates at the 4-H Cabin:
- February 28, 7:00pm: Introduction/Beginners in Small Animals. This workshop is perfect for beginners in rabbits, poultry, and cavies or branch buds. If you know someone considering showing small animals this workshop is for them!
- March 20, 7:00pm: Planning, Feeding, and Raising Market Poultry. *In beginners/intermediate workshop on raising the different species of market poultry. Also outlines fair requirements.
- April 25 @7:00pm: Planning, Feeding, Breeding Market Rabbits. *In beginners/intermediate workshop on raising the different classes of market rabbits. Also outlines fair requirements.
We will also present Fair book changes at the start of each meeting and any other updated information. If you’re planning to breed fryer rabbits for fair, the ideal date to breed is April 29. This will make them 10 weeks old on show day.
